Credit Card 101 | What Is A Credit Card? | Part 1
Hello mga friendship! This is a very exciting topic dahil ang pag-uusapan natin ay credit card! Sino sa inyo ang gumagamit ng credit card? Or perhaps ay hindi pa nakakagamit? Well, my friend, before we start to talk about credit cards, pag-usapan muna natin kung ano ba ang credit card at ano ang function nito sa atin? Bakit ba siya nag-e-exist at bakit maraming gumagamit nito? Bukod sa lahat, bakit marami rin ang nagkakautang sa credit card? Pag-uusapan din natin dito ang advantages and disadvantages of using a credit card.
Para sa mga wala pang credit card, this video is for you!
Credit card allows you to purchase something even without money. We call it invisible money. Ito ay parang magic card na kapag ginamit mo sa mga tindahan ay instant na mabibili mo ang item na gusto mo even without having real money yet. However, the real magic happens usually after using the credit card. After several usage without even monitoring your expenses, that's where the magic happens...your money disappears also instantly! Hahaha. Minsan hindi natin napapansin na nao-overspent pala tayo kung hindi gagamitin ng tama ang credit card natin. That's why we created this credit card series to educate all credit card users and the future ones to use it wisely para hindi tayo maging shopping now, pulubi later.

What is Credit Card? Financial Literacy for Kids - Financial Capability for Kids | Money for Kids
What is credit card? A question that adults already know the answer for but it is something which kids are not still familiar with and they might even fail to know the difference between it and a debit card.
At some point, parents are faced with lots of different questions that their kids start shooting at them and during the journey of financial education, these questions are related to bank accounts, debit cards, credit cards, how to save money, etc. (
The information that the kid's mind could get about credit cards and what they are is not that much but what they should understand is that credit cards are like the idea of borrowing money from the bank and this money should be paid back to the bank at the end of the month, which is not the same as debit cards that take directly from the money that the person owns in his/her personal account.
There are three different methods of payment known in general, the debit cards, the cash money and the credit cards. It is important that kids know what credits cards are and what are the differences between them and debit cards, it is also important that kids know why some people sometimes choose to use credit cards and not debit cards.
The money that a person spends while using the credit card goes into the form of a bill and this bill should be paid back at the end of the month and that is why it is considered like borrowing money or in other words it is sometimes seen as a loan. The thing about credit cards is that the person pays an interest over the amount of money that he/she spends and if the person is late to pay this money, the bank will also impose an interest on him/her, and this interest becomes bigger every single time the person is late for the payment. The credit card company only allows the person to spend a specific amount of money that it actually agreed on from the beginning and this means that the person will not be able to spend more than this amount in total.
Financial education for kids is important, it starts from giving them some tips and teaching them how to save some money and then it gets further with telling them more about bank accounts, credits cards, debit cards, etc. (
Talking about financial education for kids is one of the different things that parents should do when it comes to homeschooling, it is not just about maths and English and teaching them counting and letters, but parents should educate their kids and tell them more about finance, science and all the things which might be taking great part of their daily life (
When it comes to the financial education for kids and in addition to the different types of cards that are found out there, there are some other things to be talked about and shed the lights on, such as teaching the kids more about payslips ( as well as talking with the kids about earning money along with giving them some tips and tricks about how to save this money (
The kind of information that kids should know is not with the same amount as adults and this is the main reason why the information they should receive should be delivered in a very simple way in order to stay in their minds and at the same time make it easy and simple for their minds to grasp without losing themselves along the way.
Money talks for kids help them to understand that the money they receive should not always be spent on not-much-important things but they should instead make plans and save some money for any future needs, whether for buying something they have always wanted or just for any surprise needs.
What do your kids know about credit cards and about the differences between them and the debit cards? Did you teach them before about the world of banks and how important it is for them to save money?
Make a plan to teach your kids about credits cards and if you have any questions related to the world of banks, send them over and we will give you the answers you need.

My ENTIRE Camera and Recording Equipment:
FIRST: Discover It Credit Card
A “Secured” Credit Card just means you’ll put down a refundable security deposit - and in return, they’ll give you back a line of credit equal to that exact amount. Your secured credit card will get you 2% cash back on restaurants and gas stations, AND you’ll get unlimited 1% cash back on everything else. They’re also running a promotion where they will MATCH your cash back in the first year.
SECOND: The Apple Credit Card
First, there’s no annual fee…this is INSANELY important for anyone just starting out, because a LARGE part of your credit score is made up by the LENGTH OF YOUR CREDIT HISTORY. In addition to no annual fees, they’ll also give you DAILY cash back…like, 3% cash back on apple products and with select merchants. You’ll also get 2% cash back on any purchases made with Apple Pay, and then 1% cash back on everything else.
THIRD: Amazon Rewards Card
First, there’s no annual fee. If you get the Amazon Prime Rewards Card - which requires you to have a valid Amazon Prime membership to get the full benefit, you’ll get a $100 amazon gift card for signing up, and then you’ll get unlimited 5% cash back on all amazon and Whole Foods purchases, and 2% cash back at restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores…and then 1% cash back on everything else.
The OTHER card I’m referring to is just the normal Amazon Rewards Card…this is what you could get if you DON’T pay for Amazon Prime, and you’ll still get rewards….just not as much. For example, they’ll give you a $50 Amazon Credit when you sign up, 3% cash back on amazon purchases, 2% at restaurants and gas stations, and then 1% back on everything else.
FOURTH: Bank of America Cash Rewards Card.
Just like the others, there’s no annual fee. At the moment, hey’ll also give you a $200 cash bonus when you spend $1000 on the credit card within the first 90 days. THEN…if you’re already a Bank of America Preferred Rewards Member, you can get a cash back booster on the credit card, potentially turning a 3% cash back into a 5.25% reward
FIFTH: American Express Blue Cash Everyday Card
This is one of the few American Express cards that carries NO ANNUAL FEE…so it’s entirely free to use. Plus, you can earn $150 back when you spend $1000 on the card within the first 3 months. AND you’ll get 3% cash back at Supermarkets, 2% cash back at grocery stores, and 1% back on everything else.
And just to tie all of this together, if you want a step by step of what to do:
First, sign up for the Discover It Secured Card with a $200 deposit. Once you get the card, all you need to do is put a few of your normal expenses on the card each month…and then pay it off in full. You will do this for 6 months.
Second, if you want to expedite the credit building process just a little further…around the same time you apply for the Discover It card, also apply for the Capital One Secured Card.
Third, after 6 months of doing this…you’ll want to apply for either the Apple Credit Card or Amazon Credit Card. These will be your first “unsecured credit cards.” With these cards, you’ll just do the same thing as the first two…just put small expenses on it, and pay it off in full by the time it’s due.
Fourth, from there…after 8-12 months from getting your first card…go and open up the American Express Blue Cash Card.
Then, after 12 months…you should have built up enough of a credit foundation to have a score above 750!

Only Idiots Use Debit Cards -- Why CREDIT IS BETTER*
Jon shares some financial advice as to why credit cards are (usually) better than their debit counterparts for four main reasons:
1) Credit is safer;
2) They build your credit history;
3) They're required for special purchases like car rentals, and
4) they earn you points and cash-back rewards.
* Obviously, this entire argument is based on the assumption that you maintain RESPONSIBLE spending habits! The high interest-rate credit cards only applies if you carry a balance month-over-month. If you pay it off before your next statement (so, at least 30 days more time than you'd get with a debit card) - you'll never 'pay extra'. Also, this discussion is mainly directed to Americans, aged 18 or older, where this advice applies most directly/accurately.
Also, anyone who doesn't agree or avoids this advice isn't actually an idiot - but it makes for a much cleaner and provocative title, so there you go (you clicked on it, didn't you?) Comments are permanently locked because no one ever bothers to read all of the above.

Visa vs Mastercard - How Do They Compare? (Credit Card Comparison)
How do Visa and Mastercard credit cards compare? Which one is better? What even is the difference between the two cards? Who should you trust with your money?
According to data released April 26, 2018, by the American Banking Association, there were 364 million open credit card accounts in the United States as of the end of 2017. And credit cards are found in most Americans' wallets with multiple studies showing that about 7 in 10 Americans have at least one credit card. With so many cards on the market, which one is the right one to choose? We won’t be looking at every card out there today but we will be comparing two of the major players.
The two that we’ve all heard of and most of us have used or will use at some point. Welcome to this episode of The Infographics Show: Visa vs. MasterCard.
